Inclusive education is a fundamental pillar of ensuring equitable access to quality education for all children, regardless of their background, abilities, or socio-economic status. At CFI, we prioritize inclusive practices in every aspect of our educational approach, including foundational learning of literacy and numeracy, as well as our school feeding program. We recognize that fostering an inclusive environment not only supports academic achievement but also cultivates a sense of belonging, respect, and dignity among all students.

Alternative Basic Education (ABE)
The main objective is to enhance literacy and numeracy outcomes among children in rural areas by forming strong partnerships for Alternative Basic Education (ABE) and integrating innovative approaches like Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) and Play-based Experiential Education (PE&E).
Tailored Support for Student Success
Our approach to building foundational literacy and numeracy skills is rooted in inclusivity, recognizing the diverse learning needs and styles of our students. We implement a multi-tiered system of support that provides differentiated instruction, personalized learning plans, and targeted interventions to address individual learning barriers. This is a reason why we have Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) as well as the normal catch-up remedial.
Play-based learning is an educational approach that integrates playful activities both within and outside the classroom, starting from the classroom itself before extending to the playground. It doesn’t alter the curriculum but transforms the delivery method by employing playful activities to convey content in an age-appropriate manner. This child-centred approach ensures a safe learning environment where students are encouraged to make mistakes and learn from them. Characterized by self-motivation, enjoyment, and a clear flow of information, play-based learning promotes physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development, fostering holistic growth in learners.
