Overall goal
This assignment aims to ensure that Adolescent boys and girls aged 10 -24 years from the districts of Oyam, Pader and Omoro (Lango and Acholi sub-regions) are empowered to enjoy their sexual reproductive health rights and services and can make informed choices.
Background
World Vision and Community Focus International address health and nutrition issues for vulnerable populations in Oyam, Omoro, and Pader districts, with a focus on tackling sexual and reproductive health challenges among young people aged 10 to 24. They aim to implement supportive strategies and engage leaders for positive policy changes.
The outcome of the collaboration aims to empower adolescent girls and boys to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). It involves educating and engaging community leaders, parents, and policymakers to challenge harmful norms and ensure budget allocation and policies support young people’s access to comprehensive SRH services. By fostering positive attitudes and practices, the initiative strives to enable young people to navigate their SRHR with confidence and autonomy, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes and advancing the broader development agenda.
Specific Objectives
The specific objectives of the task are to;
Ensure young people are protected and empowered to enjoy their sexual reproductive health rights and services
Provide SRH information and services to young people in appropriate and respectable manner.
Strengthen adolescent sexual and reproductive health services at health facilities through establishments of youth friendly corners/spaces.
Increase access to adolescent sexual and reproductive health services through community outreaches.
